ADEN, 14th January, 2016 (WAM) — The Humanitarian Relief Coalition in Taiz Governorate of Yemen has delivered medical and relief assistance provided by the King Salman Centre for Relief and Humanitarian Aid through an airdrop operation last night.

The Saudi Press Agency quoted a coalition press statement reported by the official Yemeni News Agency, saying that the successful aid process is an initial gesture to break the siege imposed on the city of Taiz for more than eight months by coup rebels and Houthi militias.

Taiz hospitals suffer from almost entire closure, as 37 out of 40 hospitals and health centres are closed due to the systematic bombardment of the coup militias and the lack of medicines and medical supplies which have been prevented from delivery to the city.
