ABU DHABI, 28th April, 2016 (WAM) – The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation hosted a reception today in honour of Arif Z. Lalani, Canadian Ambassador to the UAE, to mark the end of his tenure in the country.

Held at the Intercontinental Hotel, the event was attended by Ambassador Shehab Ahmed Mohammed Al Fahim, Assistant Under-Secretary for Protocol Affairs at the ministry, a number of officials, and the heads of Arab and foreign diplomatic missions accredited to the UAE.

Ambassador Al Fahim commended the efforts of the outgoing Canadian envoy in the service of the joint interests of the two countries, wishing him success in his future tasks.

Ambassador Lalani thanked the UAE officials, especially at the ministry and other official agencies, for co-operation with him to consolidate friendship and bilateral relations.
