ABU DHABI, -- His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, met here on Thursday with President Nursultan Nazarbayev of Kazakhstan, who is currently on a private visit to the UAE.
Sheikh Mohamed welcomed President Nazarbayev and his delegation, and discussed bilateral ties with him and ways to enhance them.
The meeting, attended by H.H. Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Presidential Affairs, also touched on the friendly relations between the two countries and means to strengthen co-operation in economic, commercial, investment, development and cultural fields.
The UAE, under the leadership of President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, is working to deepen ties of co-operation with Kazakhstan, Sheikh Mohamed said.
President Nazarbayev said he was pleased to visit the UAE and witness the progress it had made. His country is looking forward to furthering friendship and co-operation, he added.
During the meeting, Sheikh Mohamed and President Nazarbayev discussed the latest regional and international developments, as well as topics of mutual interest.
