Mohamed bin Zayed receives Commander of US Central Command

ABU DHABI, 14th December, 2016 (WAM) -- His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, on Wednesday received General Joseph Votel, Commander of the U.S. Central Command, at Al Shati’ Palace.

They discussed co-operation and bilateral relations between the UAE and the US, as well as ways to enhance those in the best interests of the two friendly countries, especially co-ordination and co-operation in defence and military fields. They also exchanged views on the latest developments in the region and other issues of mutual concern.

Mohammed bin Ahmed Al Bowardi, Minister of State for Defence Affairs; Mohamed Mubarak Al Mazrouei, Under-Secretary of the Crown Prince Court of Abu Dhabi; Major General Isa Saif bin Ablan Al Mazrouei, Deputy Chief of Staff of the Armed Forces; Barbara A. Leaf, the US Ambassador to the UAE, and the delegation accompanying General Votel, also attended the meeting.
