ABU DHABI, -- His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, received the Prime Minister of Denmark Lars Lokke Rasmussen on Monday at the Qasr Al Bahr Palace.

Welcoming Lars Lokke Rasmussen and his accompanying delegation, His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed hoped the visit would contribute to strengthening the friendship and co-operation between the UAE and the Kingdom of Denmark.

Both sides discussed ways of building relations between the UAE and Denmark to mutually benefit both countries and their people. They stressed the importance of working on strengthening communication and creating opportunities to contribute to the development of different fields and open wider horizons to bolster economic and trading partnerships as well as exchanging expertise in science and knowledge.

Opinions were also exchanged on the latest updates and developments both regionally and internationally, in addition to discussing several issues of common interest.

The meeting was attended by Dr. Amal Abdullah Al Qubaisi, Speaker of the Federal National Council, FNC, H.H. Sheikh Tahnoun bin Mohammed Al Nahyan, Abu Dhabi Rulers Representative in the Eastern Region, H.H. Sheikh Saif bin Mohammed Al Nahyan, H.H. Sheikh Surour bin Mohammed Al Nahyan, H.H. Sheikh Nahyan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan Charitable and Humanitarian Foundation, H.H. Sheikh Hamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Chief of the Abu Dhabi Crown Prince's Court, H.H. Sheikh Mohammed bin Khalifa Al Nahyan, Executive Council Member and a number of Sheikhs and high officials and Fatima Khamis Salem Khalfan Al Mazrouei the country's ambassador in Denmark.
