AL AIN, – His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, toured the Hili Oasis on Saturday, along with its archaeological sites in Al Ain city.

Accompanied by H.H. Sheikh Tahnoun bin Mohammed Al Nahyan, Abu Dhabi Rulers Representative in the Eastern Region, and H.H. Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Presidential Affairs, Sheikh Mohammed also toured the Hili watchtower, the Bin Rayeh Tower, which dates to the 19th century and was restored in the 1980s on the ruins on the ancient tower.

The tower was built of materials found locally, including mud bricks and rocks.

Sheikh Mohamed also visited the Hili Oasis farms in the north of Al Ain and its traditional 10-km falaj water channel irrigation system.
