AL AIN, -- His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, today toured the Sheikh Nasser bin Zayed Al Nahyan Mosque at Al Qattara Area, in Al Ain.

Following Friday prayer, Sheikh Mohamed was briefed about the architecture and heritage of the mosque inspired from the architecture of Qasr al-Hosn in Abu Dhabi. He also acquainted himself with the mosque's most prominent features that reflect the history, civilisation, identity and heritage of the area.

Sheikh Mohamed emphasised that mosques in the UAE represent a platform of science and righteousness, call for tolerance, moderation and peace. He also referred to the attention President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan gave to the architecture of mosques and provision of all services in order to discharge their role and message to society.

Dr. Mohammed Mattar Al Kaabi, Chairman of the General Authority of Islamic Affairs and Endowments, and Mohamed Mubarak Al Mazrouei, Under-Secretary of the Crown Prince's Court of Abu Dhabi, accompanied Sheikh Mohamed.
