DUBAI, Lt. General Dhahi Khalfan Tamim, Deputy Chairman of Police and General Security in Dubai, today presided over a meeting of the Police Commanders Council, of the Ministry of Interior, MoI, at Dubai Police Officers' Club.
Attendees discussed, among other issues, the importance placing baby car seats in taxis working across the emirates. The seats are to be used by less than four-year-old passengers with the ultimate objective of protecting them from injuries caused by traffic accidents.
They also mulled the establishment of specialised TV channel for raising the public awareness on different security issues, drugs crimes and traffic accidents. The council also called for providing detectives with more training in criminal investigations techniques.
The federal model for risk management, security and safety was also reviewed during the meeting.
