Moroccan Interior Ministry dismantles Daesh-linked terrorist cell

RABAT, 17th August, 2016 (WAM) -- The Moroccan Interior Ministry has announced that on Tuesday it disbanded a terrorist cell composed of four extremists operating in Casablanca and the Mograne rural commune in Kenitra province.

The Morocco Press Agency, MAP, quoted a statement from the Interior Ministry as saying, "The preliminary investigations showed that the cell members adhered to dangerous terrorist projects targeting the Kingdom’s stability and security, by planning operations against vital sites in Casablanca, in accordance with the agenda of this terrorist organisation."

The suspects will be brought to justice after the completion of an investigation under the supervision of the public prosecutor’s office.
