RABAT, 18th October, 2016 (WAM) — The Arab Monetary Fund, AMF, and Bank Al-Maghrib are co-organising a high-level conference on “Financial Education in the Arab World: Strategies, Implementation, and Impact” in Morocco.

This event is organised on October 20th and 21st with the support of the Moroccan Ministry of Economy and Finance and in coordination with Deutsche Gesellschaft fur Internationale Zusammenarbeit financed by the German Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development, the World Bank, the Organisation for Economic Cooperation and Development, OECD, the SANAD Fund for MSMEs, and the Moroccan foundation, “La Fondation Marocaine pour l’Education Financiere”.

The conference will bring together high-level government authorities, including representatives from Ministries of Finance, Ministries of Education, Central Banks, Financial Market Authorities, senior staff from regional and international financial institutions, researchers, and private sector practitioners.

During the conference, emphasis will be placed on assessing efficiency and impact of financial education programmes and on ways to develop a regional framework for practical action moving forward.
