HONG KONG, 18th November, 2015 (WAM) — The Secretary-General of Muslim World League, Dr. Abdullah bin Abdulmohsen Al-Turki, opened today the two-day International Conference on ‘Dialogue and Peaceful Coexistence’, organised by the League in collaboration with the Board of Trustees of the resources of the Muslim community in Hong Kong, in the presence of the Saudi Consul to Hong Kong, Omar Bin Bakheet Al-Bunyan.

The conference is being attended by a number of scholars, researchers and leaders of the followers of religions and cultures in Hong Kong and East Asia.

According to the Saudi Press Agency, SPA, Dr. Al-Turki delivered a speech in which he thanked the Board of Trustees of the Muslim community in Hong Kong for its cooperation with the League in the preparation of the conference, and local authorities and Legislative Council in Hong Kong, and its facilitation in holding the forum, wishing all the best to the participants in efforts to promote positive relations between the world’s peoples and civilisations.

Dr. Al-Turki praised the efforts being made by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia under the leadership of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, in serving Islam and Muslims and the entire humanity, its sponsorship of the Muslim World League and its efforts in promoting peace and communication with Muslims around the world.
