ISLAMABAD, 31st January, 2017 (WAM) — Pakistan-Palestine friendship received a real boost today with the opening of the new Palestinian Embassy in Islamabad’s Diplomatic Enclave.

The Prime Minister of Pakistan, Muhammad Nawaz Sharif, and Palestinian President, Mahmoud Abbas, jointly unveiled a plaque in the modern new complex of the Chancery and Ambassador Residence, Associated Press of Pakistan has reported.

Pakistan donated the plot of land as well as contributing US$1 million for the project.

President Mahmoud Abbas, who is on a three-day visit to Pakistan, conveyed his profound gratitude to the Government of Pakistan for its financial and technical assistance for the completion of the project, describing it as a symbol of the lasting Pakistan-Palestine friendship.
