KUWAIT, 10th August, 2016 (WAM) — The Kuwait Oil Company, KOC, said on Wednesday that it had controlled the oil leakage that occurred at a drilling rig in the Al-Ahmadi oil field yesterday.

The Kuwait News Agency, KUNA, quoted KOC official spokesman, Imad Al-Sultan, as saying that the accident had not affected production, or inflicted any injuries.

The leak happened at rig BWD-133 during a drilling operation, and Kuwait Oil Company teams of technicians dealt with the accident according to the company’s standing procedures.
