Pakistan to host meeting of D-8 Group of Eight Developing Islamic Countries

ISLAMABAD, 8th February, 2016 (WAM) -- The Pakistani capital, Islamabad, will host a meeting of trade ministers of the Group of Eight Developing Islamic Countries, D-8, on February 17th.

The Commerce Minister of Pakistan, Khurram Dastgir Khan, will chair the session,which will include the trade ministers of Bangladesh, Egypt, Indonesia, Iran, Turkey, Malaysia, Nigeria and Pakistan.

According to an official statement, the ministers will discuss key trade issues, particularly the preferential trade agreement, and work to implement it in order to strengthen economic and social relations between the Group of Eight Developing Islamic Countries, consider tariff reductions and dispute settlement mechanisms.
