President of the Republic, General Michel Aoun, called his Egyptian counterpart, Abdel Fattah El-Sisi and offered him condolences for the victims of the fire at Abu Sefein Church in Giza Governorate in the Arab Republic of Egypt.

The President also hoped for a speedy recovery for the wounded.

For his side, President El-Sisi thanked President Aoun and briefed him on the circumstances of the fire.

Moreover, the President called Copts Pope, Tawadros II, and condoled him asking God for mercy and a speedy recovery for the wounded.

On the other hand, Pope Tawadros II expressed his gratitude for the affection President Aoun expressed towards the painful affliction that on members of his sect.
