CAIRO, 16th February, 2016 (WAM)–President of Egypt, Abdel Fattah Al Sisi, mourned Tuesday passing of former Secretary General of United Nations, former State Minister for Foreign Affairs, Dr. Boutros Ghali.

“Egypt and the world have lost today a fine political and legal figure that gave a lot through a long international political career, whether as a diplomat, an international legal expert or an author,” the Egyptian presidency said in its statement.

Al Sisi sent his sincere condolences to Ghali’s family and loved ones, both in Egypt and abroad. He stressed that Egypt and the world have lost today a political and legal pioneer, who enriched the world and not only Egypt, with his long career in international politics.

The president described Ghali as an expert when it comes to international law and diplomacy.
