VIENNA, 28th February, 2016 (WAM) — The State of Qatar has confirmed its commitment to implement the recommendations of the Doha Declaration adopted by the 13th Congress on Crime Prevention and Criminal Justice as a means to achieve the agenda of the sustainable development goals.

Qatar News Agency, QNA, said that Second Secretary at Qatar’s Permanent Delegation to the International Organisations in Vienna, Sarah Al Sulaiti, highlighted Qatar’s financial contribution to the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime, UNODC, to carry out development projects in implementation of Doha Declaration recommendations, in the presence of UNODC Executive Director Yury Fedotov.

On the occasion of the UNODC Annual Appeal, Al Sulaiti said that this contribution will help in the implementation of projects in a number of countries in the world, especially in the fight against corruption, prisoners’ rehabilitation and crime prevention among young people by supporting sports.
