Qatari Emir restructures Council of Ministers

DOHA, 27th January, 2016 (WAM) -- Qatar's Emir, Sheikh Tamim bin Al-Thani, today issued Emiri Decree No. 01 of 2016, amending the formation of the Council of Ministers.

According to the Qatar News Agency, QNA, the Emiri Decree appointed Dr. Khalid bin Mohamed Al Attiyah as Minister of State for Defence Affairs and Member of the Council of Ministers, Sheikh Mohamed bin Abdurrahman Al-Thani as Foreign Minister, Salah bin Ghanem Al Ali as Minister of Culture and Sports, Dr. Issa bin Saad Al Jafali Al Nuaimi as Minister of Administrative Development, Labour and Social Affairs, Jassim bin Saif Al Sulati as Minister of Transport and Communications, Mohamed bin Abdullah Al Rumaihi as Minister of Municipality and Environment, Dr. Hanan Mohamed Al Kuwari as Minister of Public Health.

The Emiri Decree abolishes any provision contrary to the provisions of this Decree.

The Emiri Decree is effective from the date of its issue and is to be published in the Official Gazette.
