RAS AL KHAIMAH -- H.H. Sheikh Mohammed bin Saud bin Saqr Al Qasimi, Crown Prince of Ras al-Khaimah, laid the foundation stone for the mosque of the late Saeed bin Salem Al Misafri in Dhait district on Friday.
The mosque will cost AED 1.8 million and will accommodate 210 worshippers. It will also feature a special corner for women.
Designed with influences of the Emirati and Islamic architecture, the worshipping house will be completed by next Ramadan and will have environmental-friendly and energy efficiency systems.
Al Misafri, who passed away in 2013, was a well-known national and social figure who played a leading role in charitable and voluntary works.
