RAS AL KHAIMAH, H.H. Sheikh Saud bin Saqr Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Ras al-Khaimah performed the funeral prayer on Saturday evening on the body of humanitarian martyr, Ahmed Abdul Rahman Kluaib Al Tunaiji.

Al Tunaiji was killed along with other compatriots in the terrorist attack on the headquarters of the Kandahar governor in Afghanistan.

Sheikh Saqr bin Mohammed bin Saqr Al Qasimi, a number of officials, dignitaries and a group of mourners including citizens and expatriate residents also performed the funeral prayers, along with the RAK Ruler.

Sheikh Saud said the UAE, led by President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, and His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, has been providing more and more to the world and humanity.

"The martyrdom of these devoted humanitarian pioneers will further make the people of the UAE sturdier and boost their determination towards uplifting their country, religion and Arabism, as well as building bridges of love and giving, and translating the UAE's vibrant Arabism and Islam into the spirit of extending a helping hand to the needy in various parts of the world," he said He added that nations are being tested, and cited these martyrs as a test and a source of pride. "Their names will go down in history for their humanitarian actions," he said.

The RAK Ruler prayed to the Allah Almighty to rest their souls in peace and bestow solace and patience on their families.
