Mattar Al Tayer, Director-General and Chairman of the Board of Executive Directors of the Roads and Transport Authority, RTA, has celebrated the first batch of 'Tamkeen with the RTA' programme comprising of 16 female graduates.
The programme was launched in line with the Year of Zayed and the Year of Giving declared by President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan. It has enabled 13 graduates to acquire jobs in the RTA and other entities after completing theoretical and practical training.
As part of its social responsibility, the RTA introduced the Tamkeen programme to train female Emirati graduates who were unable to find a job after they graduated, explained Al Tayer, adding that the programme provides these graduates with training and exposure to administrative practices to qualify and give them the confidence to enter the job market. "It focused on honing their skills and abilities to undertake job assignments compatible with their academic backgrounds. The process illustrates RTA's keenness to play an active role in Emiratisation of jobs and provide competent cadres for the job market," he continued.
