DUBAI, -- H.H. Sheikh Saeed bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum has launched the 3rd Gulf Childhood Conference at noon today, under the theme "Psychological Empowerment for the Mother - Promising Childhood", under the patronage of H.H. Sheikha Hind bint Maktoum bin Juma Al Maktoum, wife of Vice President and Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, and Chairwoman of the Sheikha Latifa Childhood Creativity Award with its activities continuing tomorrow at the Dubai Women's Association headquarters.
The ceremony included a singing performance about the mother, and a short film about women's empowerment in the UAE, including excerpts from the talks of the founding father, the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan and rulers of the UAE.
Afterwards, Amina Al Dabbous Al Suwaidi, Executive Director of the award, made a speech where she welcomed H.H. Sheikh Saeed and the other attendees and thanked H.H. Sheikha Hind bint Maktoum bin Juma Al Maktoum for supporting all stages of the launch and start of the conference, which coincides with Mother's Day. She also thanked everyone who contributed to the success of the conference, adding that the conference aims to support and strengthen the country's efforts, under its leadership, in the field of empowering mothers and with the goal of strengthening and establishing the promising creativity of children.
During the ceremony, H.H. Sheikh Saeed received a commemorative painting dedicated to H.H. Sheikha Hind for her support and generous patronage of the conference. His Highness also honoured the participation of experts and consultant scientists in the 3rd Gulf Childhood Conference.
The sessions of the conference discussed psychological empowerment for the mother in the national, social, cultural, legal, media, educational, religious and psychological areas.
