RIYADH-- H.H. Lt. General Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of the Interior, headed the UAE's delegation to Thursday's joint meeting of GCC interior, foreign affairs and defence ministers in Saudi Arabia.
Sheikh Saif said the meeting strengthens integral work of the GCC states, cooperation and co-ordination, as well as overall political, security, and defence integration, in implementation of a resolution by the Supreme Council of the GCC.
In his speech during the meeting, Sheikh Saif praised the joint forces of the Arab Coalition backing the legitimacy in Yemen, while defending the unified Gulf, which constantly looks forward to a better future for the people of the region and the entire world.
He thanked Saudi Arabia for its usual hospitality accorded to the delegations in the Kingdom of giving and the Holy Land.
Sheikh Saif was received upon his arrival in Saudi Arabia by His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Nayef bin Abdulaziz, Crown Prince, First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior of Saudi Arabia, and His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, Deputy Crown Prince, Second Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defence of Saudi Arabia, as well as a number of senior officials.
The UAE delegation included Dr. Anwar bin Mohammed Gargash, Minister of State for Foreign Affairs; Mohammed bin Ahmed Al Bowardi, Minister of State for Defence Affairs; Mohammed Saeed Al Dhaheri, UAE Ambassador to Saudi Arabia, and several senior officials.
