Saudi Arabia accedes to Convention on WTO Trade Facilitation

RIYADH, 29th July, 2016 (WAM) -- Saudi Arabia deposited its acceptance and accession instrument to the WTO Convention on the Trade Facilitation, thus the Kingdom will be the only second Arab country to accede to this Convention.

By fulfilling this procedure, the Kingdom has met all requirements related to application of the Convention procedures, as soon as it enters into force.

According to Saudi Press Agency, SPA, the Under-Secretary of the Ministry of Commerce and Investment for Foreign Trade Ahmed bin Abdulaziz Haqbani has submitted the accession instrument to the Convention on trade facilitation, which is a multilateral agreement, to the Director General of the WTO Roberto Ozafedo, yesterday at WHO headquarters in Geneva.
