TOKYO, 1st September, 2016 (WAM) — Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, Deputy Crown Prince and Minister of Defence of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, arrived in Tokyo last night on an official visit to Japan.

Officials from the Japanese government received Prince Mohamed bin Salman at Haneda Airport. The Saudi Ambassador to Japan, Ahmed Al Barrak, and members of the embassy and Saudi business leaders stationed in Japan, also welcomed the prince.

During his stay, Mohammed bin Salman will attend an Imperial Audience with Emperor Akihito of Japan, and hold meetings with Shinzo Abe, Prime Minister of Japan. Mr. Abe will host a dinner for the Deputy Crown Prince.

This will be Prince Mohammed bin Salman’s first visit to Japan as Deputy Crown Prince and Minister of Defence, during which he is expected to attend signing ceremonies for a variety of agreements in the business and economy fields.
