ISLAMABAD, 7th January 2016 (WAM) — Saudi Arabia’s Foreign Minister Adel Al Jubeir on Thursday arrived in Islamabad and met Pakistan’s Chief of Army Staff General Raheel Sharif to discuss the latest security developments in the region.

In a statement, the Pakistani army said Al Jubeir and Sharif met at the General Headquarters of Pakistan’s army.

The Saudi foreign minister praised Pakistan’s success in the war against terrorism and the efforts to achieve stability in the region.

During his two-day visit to Pakistan, the Saudi foreign minister is due to meet Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif. He earlier met Sharif’s foreign affairs adviser Sartaj Aziz.
