ISLAMABAD, 4th May, 2016 (WAM)–Four Universities in the Pakistani capital, Islamabad, which have received terror threat, tightened the security on Wednesday, according to the statement issued by the Ministry of Interior.

It added that the National University of Modern Languages (NUML), National University of Sciences and Technology (NUST), Quaid-e-Azam University and Allama Iqbal Open University (AIOU) are on high alert.

Media reports said that Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan supervised the security arrangements at the campuses.

After Bacha Khan University tragedy last January in which terrorists killed 21 and injured 30, mostly students, directions were given to tighten the countrywide security of the educational institutions.
