SHARJAH, Major-General Saif Al Zari Al Shamsi, Commander-in-Chief of Sharjah Police, has launched the heat exhaustion campaign, which is being held for the tenth consecutive year.

Started by the Sharjah Medical District in cooperation with the Sharjah Police, the launch was attended by a number of officers and representatives of government departments in Sharjah.

During the campaign, field medical examinations were conducted for workers. Also, the Emirates Red Crescent gave gifts to workers and the Sharjah Standards Development Authority provided them with heat-resistant "towels" for eight hours.
