DUBAI, -- The UAE Athletics Federation is geared up for the 6th Annual Dubai Women's Run under the patronage of H.H. Sheikh Ahmed bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Chairman of the UAE National Olympics Committee, which this year is taking place along a new route, starting off and finishing up at SKY DIVE Dubai on November 4th. The race starts at 7:00 a.m. and will host both 5K and 10K runs, showcasing some of the nation's most talented and well-known female distance runners.
This year's race will also kick-off the Sun and Sand Sport Fitness Fest, which had a record number of over 4,500 entrants last year, and more than 5,000 are expected for the 2016 run. A day that can be enjoyed by the whole family, the race area will have music and activities for children with food and beverages served. There will also be activities and sampling focusing on Health and Fitness throughout the day.
All participants will be able to collect their numbers, chips and running packets, consisting of their bib, official shirt from Air France KLM and gift items, on the 2nd and 3rd November at Dubai's Meydan Hotel from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.
