SEOUL, 1st August, 2016 (WAM) – South Korea’s current account registered a surplus of 12.17 billion dollars in June 2016, up from $10.36 billion in May, the Bank of Korea said on Monday.

For the first half of the year, South Korea’s current account surplus was $49.98 billion.

The goods account surplus widened to $12.82 billion, compared to $10.74 billion in May.

The financial account registered a 9.60 billion dollar increase in net assets in June.
