TOKYO, --Dr. Sultan bin Ahmed Al Jaber, Minister of State and Chief Executive Officer of Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (ADNOC) and its group of companies, will participate at the Exhibition & Conference Gas Technology "Gastech 2017" on Tuesday in Tokyo, in the largest gathering of the sector this year.
The exhibition is a platform for industry professionals to explore, address difficult and controversial issues facing it. It will be also an opportunity to establish networks and conduct deals among key participants in established and emerging energy markets.
The event will be attended by the heads of major international companies such as Chevron, ExxonMobil Gas, Total, Gazprom, Mitsui & Co, Mitsubishi Corporation and Tokyo Gas.
It also comes in the wake of the Paris Convention on Climate Change, which obliges nations to strengthen their global environmental facets in light of the global shift towards clean energy.
Major oil giants, including Royal Dutch Shell, Exxon Mobil, BP and Total SA, continue to play a role in the future of the energy sector, leading to their roles in transition.
"The conference is held while the oil giants expect energy growth at 1.3 percent per year, which means that the role of renewable energy is increasing within the global energy mix, so the oil giants will have to look for new creative strategies capable to produce a sustainable competitive advantage," said Gavin Sutcliffe, head of software at DMG, conference director.
