THAILAND, 13th January, 2016 (WAM) — Thai Prime Minister, General Prayuth Chan-ocha, and the Secretary-General of the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation, OIC, Iyad Amin Madani, discussed regional developments and issues of common interest, as well as the ways to strengthen relations between Thailand and the Organisation, last night in the Thai capital, Bangkok.

The OIC Secretary-General met with Thai leading figures, including National Security Council Secretary-General, General Thawip Netniyom and the Sheikhul Islam Office, SIO.

The meeting came on the sidelines of the OIC Secretary-General’s visit to Bangkok to participate in the work of the International Symposium on Inter-Religious Dialogue and Peaceful Co-existence within the communities of multiculturalism, which was held in the Thai capital.
