They were nabbed in the early hours of Sunday from their homes in Banpukur area, said Savar Model Police Station Sub-Inspector Mofazzal Hossain.
He identified the teachers as SM Asaduzzaman Shakil and Abu Raihan of Child Fare Heaven Commerce School and College.
The victim's mother Fultara Begum filed a case under the Women and Child Repression Prevention Act on Sunday accusing four teachers including Shakil and Raihan.
The two others are headmaster Kabul Mia and teacher Dulal Mia.
Case investigation officer SI Hossain told bdnews24.com that Shakil and Raihan were presented before a court on Sunday afternoon. He said police were seeking five-day remand for the duo.
Quoting case details, he said 16-year old Sonali Akter Sonia was a 10th grader in that institution.
"Around 9:30am on Saturday, Sonia had gone to the school to sit for an examination. But the accused demanded the unpaid tuition fees of three months first and threatened not to allow her to appear in the exam if the fees were not paid."
They scolded her roughly and sent her back home when she pleaded to pay Tk 500 before sitting for the test and promised to pay the rest after the exam.
After returning home, Sonia felt 'ashamed and humiliated' by the incident and hanged herself, said SI Hossain.
