MADRID, -- Dr. Hessa Abdullah Al Otaiba, UAE Ambassador to the Kingdom of Spain, has attended Spain's national day anniversary celebrations at the invitation from His Majesty King Felipe VI of Spain and Queen Letizia of Spain.

The event, which was attended by King Philip VI, Crown Princess Leonor of Spain, Princess of Asturias, Princess Sofia, and Mariano Rajoy, Spain's caretaker prime minister, as well as Minister of Defence Pedro Moreno and a number of senior Spanish officials, included the navy, air, land and police military parade.

After the military parade, the Spanish King hosted a reception for the guests at the Royal Palace, where he met the UAE Ambassador. She conveyed to the King, people and the Government of Spain, the regards and the best wishes of President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice President and Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, and His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces.

King Felipe VI thanked the UAE envoy for attending the event and asked Ambassador Hessa to convey his regards to the UAE President, Vice President, and Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi. The King also commended the distinguished relations between the two countries.
