MELBOURNE, 8th September 2016 (WAM) – The UAE Ambassador to Australia, Dr. Obaid Al Hairi Salem Al Ketbi, today met the Prime Minister of Victoria State, Daniel Andrews to discuss furthering of economic co-operation.

The meeting also discussed the potential for joint projects in the fields of science, healthcare, food, education, and tourism, in addition to innovation and agricultural technologies.

Praising the strategic partnership between the UAE and Australia, Ambassador Al Ketbi said it had opened new horizons for mutually beneficial economic and commercial co-operation.

The relations between the two countries were witnessing remarkable growth, particularly in the economic sector, said Andrews.

The UAE’s position as a regional hub for business formed a solid foundation for strong economic ties between the two countries, he added.
