RIO DE JANEIRO, 8th August, 2016 (WAM) – Adviser Mohammad Kamali, Secretary-General of the National Olympic Committee and Ahmed Al-Tayeb, Director of the UAE sports delegation participating in the Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, have attended the meeting of the organising committee of the fourth session of the Islamic Solidarity Games (ISG), to be hosted by the Azeri capital, Baku, in May 2017.

The meeting, held on the sidelines of the Olympic Games, tackled the most important goals that the ISG seeks to achieve through dissemination of affection, excellence and peace messages.

The committee presented a demonstration on the city’s preparations including sports facilities and other services related to the security, medical and technical matters for the games. Over 5,000 athletes from 57 federations will participate in the games.
