RABAT, 5th July, 2016 (WAM) — The UAE Embassy to Rabat has distributed Zakat Al Fitr, donated by the Emirates Red Crescent (ERC), to about 3,900 needy Moroccan people.

Saeed Mohair Al Ketbi from the UAE Embassy in Rabat, on behalf of Suhail Mattar Al Ketbi, UAE Ambassador to the Kingdom of Morocco, distributed Zakat Al Fitr to needy categories, in collaboration with charitable and humanitarian associations.

The heads of charitable and humanitarian associations from various areas in Morocco received the quotas destined for the needy regions of Morocco to be distributed there on the occasion of Eid Al Fitr.

The beneficiaries of Zakat Al Fitr praised the humanitarian and charitable efforts of the ERC in the service of the needy and orphan groups in the Kingdom of Morocco. They commended the ERC’s initiatives, including the Ramadan iftars, Eid clothing and Zakat Al Fitr, which contributed towards alleviating the suffering of people in need, and painting a smile on the faces of orphans in a number of Moroccan cities.
