ABU DHABI -- A group of Muslim scholars invited by President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan to the UAE, delivered on Saturday lectures at a number of mosques in Abu Dhabi on the manners and values that should be upheld by fasting people during the Holy Month of Ramadan.
The lectures were organised by the General Authority of Islamic Affairs And Endowments.
The guest scholars highlighted that Ramadan is a month of tolerance for generous giving, knowledge seeking, recitation of Quran, and promotion of peace. They said it is one of the great blessings by Islam to the entire humanity.
They hailed the overall development taking place across the UAE.
They visited the tomb of the Founder of the UAE, the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, located at the Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque, where they prayed for his soul.
The scholars also visited the Wahat Al Karama memorial site, established to honour the UAE martyrs. They paid tribute to the UAE Armed Forces for their heroism and bravery in protecting legitimacy and Arab causes during crucial challenges.
