BANGKOK, 11th January, 2017 (WAM) — Thai Minister of Foreign Affairs Don Pramudwinai received here on Wednesday the UAE’s Assistant Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Co-operation for Political Affairs Ahmed Abdul Rahman Al Jarman and the delegation accompanying him.
The Ministers discussed bilateral relations and ways to enhance them, as well as topics of mutual interest.
Al Jarman stressed the importance of boosting co-operation between the UAE and Thailand in all areas, especially food security and renewable energy. He also called for tapping opportunities for joint co-operation and benefiting from the competitive advantages and significant growth made by the two countries.
The Thai Minister lauded his country’s strong ties with the UAE and said that exchange of visits by officials would further contribute to enhance relations between the two friendly countries.
The meeting was attended by Saif Abdullah Al Shamsi, the UAE Ambassador to Bangkok, and Ali Al Nuaimi, Deputy Director of Asia Pacific Affairs at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Co-operation.
