UMM AL QAIWAIN, Under the patronage of H.H. Sheikh Saud bin Rashid Al Mu’alla, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Umm Al Qaiwain, H.H. Sheikh Rashid bin Saud bin Rashid Al Mu’alla, Crown Prince of Umm Al Qaiwain and Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Umm Al Qaiwain University, attended a graduation ceremony held yesterday under the theme ‘’Year of Sustainability”.

Sheikh Rashid said that Umm Al Qaiwain University is one of the country’s major academic institutions, always aims to achieve excellence, and constantly advances its specialties and programmes.

He congratulated the students on their graduation, which is the crowning of years of hard work and academic studies.

He also congratulated the families of the graduates, stressing that consecutive generations of graduates are the country’s true wealth.

Dr. Galal Abdullah Hatem, Chancellor of the University, delivered a speech thanking Sheikh Saud and Sheikh Rashid for supporting knowledge, education and the youth and spreading a positive spirit among them. He also thanked the university’s teaching and administrative staff for encouraging and motivating students.

The achievements of the graduates are the result of a long journey of support, hard work and their families’ sacrifices, he stressed.

The university achieved these successes due to the support of Sheikh Saud, he added and noted that it aims to implement his directives and visions.
