ABU DHABI, Upbeat sentiments drove demand high at the latter half of today's session for blue chips at the realty and banking sectors, edging ADX General Index up 1.35 percent to break the 4665 barrier, the highest in two weeks, with DFM following suit, closing 0.35 percent higher than yesterday's session.
At the capital's bourse, FAB closed on a high note of AED12.40, and Aldar to AED2.07, with Eshraq Properties following suit, closing at 76 fils.
In Dubai, Emaar closed at AED5.59, Emaar Development at AED5.48, with Damac up to AED3.04 and Dubai Islamic bank to AED5.35.
In terms of liquidity, a total of 3740 transactions were conducted worth around AED385 million over 211 million shares.
Up to 33 companies out of 61 trading today closed high, 18 down and 10 at their previous traded prices.
