UMM AL QUWAIN, A VAT awareness campaign has been organised in Umm Al Qaiwain by the Federal Tax Authority to update businesses in the emirate on the tax guidelines and the grace period granted till April 30th for those who have not yet registered for the taxation system.

"The two-day campaign hosted by the Department of Economic Development in Umm Al Qaiwain is part of the nationwide awareness programme organsied by the FTA during April to liaison with all businesses subject to VAT," said Khalid Ali Al Bustani, FTA Director-General.

"The campaign is being organised in conjunction with different economic departments across all emirates as part of the collaboration between FTA and all its strategic partners in both the private and public sectors to provide best possible levels of services and ensure enforcement of tax legislation in the country," he added, noting that FTA teams are consistently responding to all queries from all businesses subject to the tax in order to help them avoid any delay penalties.
