ISTANBUL, 13th October, 2016 (WAM) — The UAE pavilion at the 23rd World Energy Congress, WEC, in Istanbul witnessed a notable turnout from the Arab and foreign delegations at the congress.

Marie-Jose Nadeau, Chair of the World Energy Council toured the platforms of the participating national companies at the event. She was briefed about the approved technologies in energy production in the UAE and the mega projects being implemented by the country in this regard.

She expressed her admiration at the sophisticated projects implemented by the UAE, praising the pioneering Emirati experience and expertise in the field of energy in general, and the renewable energy in particular.

Co-Chair of the World Energy Council, Jean-Marie Dauger, also visited the UAE pavilion and hailed the role being played by the country in the energy sector across the world. He also lauded the unique Emirati experience and expertise developed in renewable energy represented in Masdar.

The officials were received by Dr. Matar Hamed Al Neyadi, Under-Secretary for the Ministry of Energy, and Fatima Al Shamsi, the Ministry’s Assistant Under-Secretary for Electricity, Clean Energy and Desalinated Water Affairs.
