SAADA, Yemen, 5th December, 2016 (WAM) — The Yemeni National Army, backed by popular resistance and the Arab Coalition Forces, has completed the liberation of the border port of Alab and most of the Mandaba region of the Directorate of Baqim in Saada province, northern Yemen.

The Yemeni Official News Agency quoted Obaid Al-Athela, Saada Axis brigadier, as saying that the liberation army units and resistance are achieving continuous progress.

Sheikh Yahya Muqait, Field Commander in Saada Front, said that that army and resistances forces have completely freed Alab crossing and customs, adding that the army was able to liberate 13 locations that were under the control of Al Houthis and Saleh militia in the Mandaba region of the Directorate of Baqim in Saada province, after heavy fighting overnight.
