ADEN, 26th November, 2015 (WAM) – Yemenia Airlines announced today it has resumed the first flight out of Aden International Airport to the Jordanian capital, Amman, with 156 passengers on board.

The official Yemen News Agency, said after a 10-month hiatus, due to the war against the Houthi rebels, the first commercial flight was launched from the port city of Aden to Amman in Jordan.

It quoted Eng. Tariq Abdou, Director of Aden International Airport, as saying that the resumption of the flights from and to Aden Airport, “comes after efforts exerted by the political leadership and competent authorities in co-ordination with the UAE and the company in charge of rehabilitation of the Aden Airport.”
