ABU DHABI, The Zayed Higher Organisation for Humanitarian Care and Special Needs, ZHO, and the Abu Dhabi Chamber of Commerce and Industry, ADCCI, have signed two Memorandums of Understanding, MoU, to promote cooperation and benefit people of determination who are cared for by the ZHO.

The first MoU aims to provide those with physical and sensory disabilities, who are currently registered at the ZHO and have valid IDs, with free memberships to the organisation.

The second MoU calls for providing people of determination registered with the ZHO with the "Dhabi Card," which is issued by the Chamber and will enable them to receive discounts on major purchases and commercial offers, as well as exempt them from annual fees for one-year membership, along with providing them with a 50 percent discount on card fees.

The two MoUs were signed by Abdullah Abdulali Al Humaidan, Secretary-General of the ZHO, and Mohammed Hilal Al Muhairi, Director-General of the Chamber, with the attendance of officials from both sides.

According to the first MoU, people of determination with physical and sensory disabilities will be exempt from membership fees and other fees related to issuing or renewing their membership. The exemption applies to all people of determination, whether employees or members of the public.

People of determination will also benefit from work opportunities provided by the chamber, which will create the appropriate environment for them, based on current national policies that regulate their rights. The chamber will also support the vocational rehabilitation of people of determination, by promoting and marketing the ZHO's products in exhibitions and events, as well as supporting and sponsoring programmes and activities for people of determination.
