UAE announces 919 new COVID-19 cases, 859 recoveries, no deaths in last 24 hours

ABU DHABI, The Ministry of Health and Prevention (MoHAP) announced that it conducted 197,921 additional COVID-19 tests over the past 24 hours, using state-of-the-art medical testing equipment.

In a statement on Tuesday, the Ministry stressed its aim to continue expanding the scope of testing nationwide to facilitate the early detection of coronavirus cases and carry out the necessary treatment. As part of its intensified testing campaign, MoHAP announced 919 new coronavirus cases, bringing the total number of recorded cases in the UAE to 1,000,556.

According to the Ministry, the infected individuals are from various nationalities, are in a stable condition, and receiving the necessary care.

The Ministry added that no COVID-19-related deaths have been recorded in the past 24 hours, keeping the total number of deaths unchanged in the country at 2,337.

MoHAP also noted that an additional 859 individuals had fully recovered from COVID-19, bringing the total number of recoveries to 979,362.

In a statement, the Ministry stressed its aim to continue expanding the scope of testing nationwide to facilitate the early detection of coronavirus cases and carry out the necessary treatment. As part of its intensified testing campaign, MoHAP announced 923 new coronavirus cases, bringing the total number of recorded cases in the UAE to 999,637.

According to the Ministry, the infected individuals are from various nationalities, are in a stable condition, and receiving the necessary care.

The Ministry added that no COVID-19-related deaths have been recorded in the past 24 hours, leaving the death toll unchanged at 2,337.

MoHAP also noted that an additional 895 individuals had fully recovered from COVID-19, bringing the total number of recoveries to 978,503.

Corniche Hospital, SKMC return to normal operations

ABU DHABI, Abu Dhabi Health Services Company (SEHA) has announced that Corniche Hospital and Sheikh Khalifa Medical City (SKMC) have returned to their normal operations and continue to provide specialised and comprehensive healthcare services to patients.

Saeed Jaber Al Kuwaiti, Group Chief Executive Officer at SEHA, praised the tireless efforts made by the medical cadres across all healthcare facilities in the Emirate. He called on all members of society to continue taking all the necessary precautions.

Department of Health – Abu Dhabi becomes member of International Society for Quality in Health Care

ABU DHABI, The Department of Health – Abu Dhabi (DoH) has become an institutional member of the International Society for Health Care Quality (ISQua), an international organisation dedicated to promoting quality improvement in healthcare through global cooperation.

As an outcome of the membership, DoH will join forces with ISQua to strengthen the international healthcare landscape by delivering safe and high-quality healthcare services to the global community. As a result of the membership, DoH will further position the Emirate of Abu Dhabi as a global leader in healthcare quality, support the improvement of patient safety in the UAE and the region, and strengthen the Emirate’s quality of Healthcare Quality Index’ Muashir’ by collaborating with international organisations.

DoH will also showcase Abu Dhabi’s healthcare quality programmes to attract more regional professionals and experts to share knowledge and expertise about the latest trends in healthcare quality.

As an ISQua member, DoH will host conferences, exhibitions and workshops locally, regionally and internationally to promote best practices for high-quality and safe healthcare services as well as raise awareness on the importance of safe health and social care. It will expand cross collaborations across the global healthcare sector to ensure the optimum delivery of healthcare services to all patients in Abu Dhabi and beyond.

Through ISQua membership, DoH will have access to all of ISQua’s online resources and free access to the International Journal for Quality in Health Care (IJQHC).

As part of its intensified testing campaign, MoHAP announced 945 new coronavirus cases, bringing the total number of recorded cases in the UAE to 998,714.

According to the Ministry, the infected individuals are from various nationalities, are in a stable condition, and receiving the necessary care.

The Ministry added that no COVID-19-related deaths have been recorded in the past 24 hours, bringing the total number of deaths in the country to 2,337.

MoHAP also noted that an additional 980 individuals had fully recovered from COVID-19, bringing the total number of recoveries to 977,608.
