Prime Minister Muhammad Shiaa Al-Sudani confirmed that we need the book because of the challenges facing reading.
Al-Sudani said in a speech during the opening of the Baghdad International Book Fair that the government will remain supportive of cultural affairs.
He added that the government will provide interest-free loans to support publishing houses.
He explained that celebrating the book and the author deserves attention and appreciation.
He pointed out, “Baghdad was and still is producing knowledge, and today it writes, prints, and reads,” stressing that the government will remain supportive of the cultural issue because of its belief in its importance to get rid of crises.
