Rulers of the Emirates congratulate UAE President, VPs on advent of Ramadan

ABU DHABI: Their Highnesses Supreme Council Members, Rulers of the Emirates and the Ruler’s Representatives in Al Ain and Al Dhafra have congratulated President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan on the advent of Ramadan, wishing him a month full of goodness and blessings.

H.H. Dr. Sheikh Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah; H.H. Sheikh Humaid bin Rashid Al Nuaimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Ajman; H.H. Sheikh Hamad bin Mohammed Al Sharqi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Fujairah; H.H. Sheikh Saud bin Rashid Al Mu’alla, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Umm Al Qaiwain; H.H. Sheikh Saud bin Saqr Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Ras Al Khaimah; H.H. Sheikh Hamdan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Ruler’s Representative in Al Dhafra Region; and H.H. Sheikh Tahnoun bin Mohammed Al Nahyan, Ruler’s Representative in Al Ain Region, also congratulated His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dub
ai and His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice President, Deputy Prime Minister and Chairman of the Presidential Court, on the holy month.

They expressed their warm congratulations on the occasion and prayed to Allah Almighty to grant the UAE leaders continued good health and well-being, wishing more progress and prosperity to the UAE people and Arab and Muslim communities in the country,

They also also sent congratulatory messages to Their Highnesses and Majesties, Presidents, Kings and Princes of the Arab and Islamic countries on the blissful occasion.

Their Crown Princes and Deputy Rulers likewise congratulated the UAE leaders on the advent of the holy month.

Water Management Workshop Advances Sustainability in Jordan Valley


Amman: The Water Authority of Jordan (WAJ), alongside the Water Reuse and Environmental Conservation Project funded by the United States Agency for International Development (USAID), on Sunday hosted a workshop titled “Engaging Stakeholders and Presenting Initial Findings on the Economic Value of Water in the Jordan Valley.”

The workshop aims to emphasize the importance of tapping into new water sources, enhancing water use efficiency in agriculture, focusing on economically viable crops, and presenting a methodology along with preliminary findings of a study assessing the economic value of water utilized for irrigation in the Jordan Valley.

The Secretary-General of the Authority, Hisham Haisa, underlined the prioritization of water provision for farmers, despite challenges and scarcity, highlighting the significance of collaborative efforts with farmers and irrigation water user associations to ensure the success of the Authority’s initiatives.

Haisa underscored the necessity of consultation and partnersh
ip to enrich ongoing endeavors and achieve future objectives, expressing hope that the study would deepen understanding of water value in irrigated zones within the Jordan Valley and guide efforts toward enhanced water resource management.

Mothers’ Endowment campaign announces 6 donation channels

DUBAI: The Mothers’ Endowment campaign, launched by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, announced 6 easy channels that will receive donations and contributions in honour of mothers, by establishing an endowment fund to provide education to millions around the world in a sustainable manner.

Organised under the Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Global Initiatives umbrella, the Mothers’ Endowment campaign aims to honour mothers by allowing donations in their name. It also aims to support individuals in underprivileged communities through education and training.

Meanwhile, the campaign helps establish the values of honouring parents, kindness, compassion and solidarity, highlight the role of the mother in nurturing families and children, and solidify the UAE’s humanitarian role.

Cash donations to the campaign, which go to providing education to underprivileged populations, can be made through the campaign’s website, via SMS, bank transfers, the ca
mpaign’s call center, the DubaiNow app or Jood.ae; Dubai’s community contributions platform.

The campaign’s website, (mothersfund.ae), welcomes donations by individuals, businesses and institutions inside and outside the UAE.

Those wishing to donate to the Mothers’ Endowment campaign can contact the dedicated call centre on toll-free number (8009999) between 10:00 and 17:00, 7 days a week, to arrange for a donation towards supporting the education of vulnerable individuals.

Direct bank transfers are also possible and should be made to the campaign’s official Emirates Islamic Bank account number (AE790340003708472909201) in UAE dirhams.

One-off donations to the campaign can be made via SMS by sending the word ‘Mother’ to dedicated du and etisalat bye and numbers as follows: SMS ‘Mother’ to 1034 to donate AED 10, to 1035 to donate AED 50, to 1036 to donate AED 100 AND TO 1038 to donate AED 500.

The Mothers’ Endowment campaign also enables donations through the DubaiNow app, under the ‘Donations’ tab, as D
igital Dubai cooperates with the campaign to facilitate contributions.

Donating to the Mothers’ Endowment campaign can be also done by creating a special portfolio for institutions and individuals via the Dubai community contributions platform Jood (jood.ae).

The platform allows individuals, businesses and institutions in both the private and public sectors, as well as celebrities, communities and cultural, sport and art groups to launch mini campaigns via Jood, encouraging friends, colleagues and followers to join in.

An extension of major charity drives launched in Ramadan over the past years and proved very successful, the Mothers’ Endowment campaign will allocate its proceeds towards supporting the education and vocational training of millions around the world, providing them with the necessary tools and skills to lead independent, dignified lives and preparing them for the job market.

Dr. Maqbouli congratulates Revolution Leader and President of Political Council on advent of Ramadan


The Deputy Prime Minister of the Caretaker Government for Services and Development Affairs, Dr. Hussein Maqbouli, sent a cable of congratulations to the Leader of the Revolution, Sayyed. Abdul Malik Badr Al-Din Al-Houthi, and His Excellency Field Marshal Mahdi Al-Mashat, Chairman of the Supreme Political Council, on the occasion of the blessed month of Ramadan.

He pointed to the spiritual significance of the month of Ramadan and its importance in refining souls and promoting social solidarity and compassion among the members of society, in addition to being the month of jihad, work and providing good deeds.

He pointed out that the month of Ramadan this year coincided with the challenges facing the nation, foremost of which is the Zionist aggression against the Palestinian people and the war of genocide they are experiencing.

He praised the honorable position of the Yemeni people under their wise leadership in supporting the brothers in Gaza.

Dr. Bin Habtoor congratulates President Al-Mashat on advent of blessed month of Ramadan


Caretaker Prime Minister Dr. Abdulaziz Saleh Bin Habtoor sent a cable of congratulations to His Excellency Field Marshal Mahdi Al-Mashat, Chairman of the Supreme Political Council, by the blessed month of Ramadan 1445 AH, stating:

I am pleased to extend to you, on my own behalf and on behalf of the members of the caretaker government, my warmest congratulations and blessings to your honorable person and to your brothers members of the Council on the advent of the blessed month of Ramadan and, through you, to all our Yemeni people and the Arab and Islamic peoples on the advent of this great Islamic pillar.

It is also my pleasure to congratulate through you the heroes of our armed and security forces, who are celebrating the holy month for the ninth year in a row, as they are stationed on the fronts and in various locations and cities to defend the homeland, secure internal security and maintain the tranquility of society, in conjunction with the air and naval forces carrying out their religious, humanitarian
and moral duty in support of the Palestinian people in besieged Gaza.
