ABU DHABI, The Ministry of Health and Prevention (MoHAP) announced that it conducted 293,212 additional COVID-19 tests over the past 24 hours, using state-of-the-art medical testing equipment.

In a statement, the Ministry stressed its aim to continue expanding the scope of testing nationwide to facilitate the early detection of coronavirus cases and carry out the necessary treatment. As part of its intensified testing campaign, MoHAP announced 2,223 new coronavirus cases, bringing the total number of recorded cases in the UAE to 622,532.

According to the Ministry, the infected individuals are from various nationalities, are in a stable condition, and receiving the necessary care.

MoHAP also announced 7 deaths due to COVID-19 complications, bringing the total number of deaths in the country to 1,782.

The Ministry expressed its sincere condolences to the family of the deceased and wished COVID-19 patients a speedy and full recovery. It called on all members of the society to cooperate with health authorities, adhere to the instructions and physical distance to ensure the health and safety of all.

MoHAP also noted that an additional 2,177 individuals had fully recovered from COVID-19, bringing the total number of recoveries to 601,308.

As part of its intensified testing campaign, MoHAP announced 2,161 new coronavirus cases, bringing the total number of recorded cases in the UAE to 620,309.

According to the Ministry, the infected individuals are from various nationalities, are in a stable condition, and receiving the necessary care.

MoHAP also announced two deaths due to COVID-19 complications, bringing the total number of deaths in the country to 1,775.

The Ministry expressed its sincere condolences to the families of the deceased and wished COVID-19 patients a speedy and full recovery. It called on all members of the society to cooperate with health authorities, adhere to the instructions and physical distance to ensure the health and safety of all.

MoHAP also noted that an additional 2,123 individuals had fully recovered from COVID-19, bringing the total number of recoveries to 599,131.

ABU DHABI, The Ministry of Health and Prevention (MoHAP) has announced that 98,689 doses of the COVID-19 vaccine were given in the past 24 hours.

The total number of doses provided up to today reached 14,834,355 with a rate of 149.99 doses per 100 people.

This is in line with the Ministry’s plan to provide the COVID-19 vaccine to all members of society and efforts to reach acquired immunity resulting from the vaccination, which will help reduce the number of cases and control the virus.

ABU DHABI, The UAE today dispatched an aircraft carrying 30,000 doses of the COVID-19 vaccine to Sudan to support its efforts to curb the spread of the pandemic.

The aircraft was received at Khartoum International Airport by Hamad Mohammed Humaid Al Junaibi, UAE Ambassador to Sudan, Dr Omar Al-Najeeb, Federal Minister of Health, several officials from the Ministry of Health, and members of the UAE diplomatic mission.

“The UAE and Sudan share profound and historic ties. The UAE will always support Sudan and its people under all circumstances,” Al Junaibi said, adding that the UAE’s aid to Sudan totalled 100 tonnes to date, which is part of the country’s efforts to address the COVID-19 pandemic.

The UAE has provided nearly 1,800 tonnes of medical supplies to 135 countries, supporting over 1.8 million healthcare workers in the battle against COVID-19, Al Junaibi noted.

Al Najeeb thanked the UAE for its continuous support for Sudan, highlighting the gratitude of the Sudanese people to the UAE’s government and people for their continuous support, particularly in the medical field.

“Since February 2021, the UAE has dispatched many COVID-19 vaccine shipments, underscoring its keenness to support Sudan in containing the pandemic,” he said.
